Hearty Beef Stew

Ingredients
2 lbs london broil, cut into 2" cubes
1 c yukon gold pototoes cut into eighths
1 c red potatoes cut into eighths
      1 c chopped carrots
      1/2 c chopped celery
      1/2 c chopped onion
      1 tsp basil
      1 tsp oregano
      1 tsp ground pepper
      1 tsp garlic powder
2 c red wine of choice

Directions
  • Place meat in crock pot. Cut all vegetables into thick pieces and place on top of meat in crock pot.
  • In large measuring cup mix spices and wine together. Pour over mixture.
  • Allow to cook on low for 6 hours or on high for 4 hours.
**Best Served with jasmine rice, egg noodles, or in a sourdough bread bowl.
**Enjoy the rest of your wine with your meal, and if you would like, serve with biscuts or croissants
***You can also use beef stew meat, I just tend to use more lean cuts of meat to decrease the fat. London Broil is a leaner beef with excellent flavor and becomes very tender in the crock pot***

Hubby Rating: 10! This is a wonderful recipe to make the night before and just put on the crock pot before you head out to work in the morning, and it makes for the perfect end to a cold day! I hope you enjoy this one!
