1 tbsp white vinegar
1 tbsp shampoo
2 c hot water
baking soda
Directions
- Sprinkle baking soda on stain and let sit for at least ten minutes.
- While waiting for baking soda to set, mix the white vinegar, soap and water together in a bottle. Once ten minutes has passed, vacuum carpet.
- Spray carpet with vinegar/soap mixture on the stain, use a white rag and "elbow grease" to scrub carpet and get rid of stain.
*** I tried this out on a couple of offending stains that were on my carpet (an had been for years), and it worked so well!!! In fact, I decided that if it worked so well on stains, it might work on the areas of my carpet that are highly trafficked and it did!!! In fact my carpet looks almost new. I will be using this simple cleaning recipe to clean my carpets on a regular basis.***
